This obedience training program is designed for dogs who need help learning basic commands and manners and/or exhibit mild behavioral issues.

Obedience training is a dynamic process that builds each time you train, and these sessions are designed to foster that process. This program is designed for owners who are self-motivated and eager to learn and practice. We will meet for one hour/week with the goal to build and strengthen your dog’s foundation into a stronger repertoire of skills. When it comes to obedience training for dogs, what you put into it is what you get out. Consistency is the BIGGEST key to successful training. I will provide you with a strong ladder and a hand up, but it’s up to you to keep climbing!

Core skills

When it comes to our dog obedience training in San Diego, your dog will learn basic obedience skills such as:

  • How to walk with a loose leash
  • Sit/stay
  • Down/stay
  • Place command (holding a down stay calmly until released)
  • Recall/come
  • Other basic manners (thresholds, mealtime etiquette, etc.)
  • Crate training

We will also address:

  • Mild reactivity on the walk (lunging, barking, growling, pulling, etc.)
  • Jumping/counter surfing
  • Mild mouthing/nipping
  • Mild anxiety- and fear-based behaviors


  • 2 Hour In-Home Evaluation: $250
  • 2 Hour In-Home Evaluation + 3 One Hour In-Home Sessions: $700
  • 2 Hour In-Home Evaluation + 4 One Hour In-Home Sessions: $850
  • 2 Hour In-Home Evaluation + 6 One Hour In-Home Sessions $1,150
